So this is what’s happening in Madrid at the moment. A whole village of people camped out in Puerta del Sol, the centre of Madrid, the epicentre of Spain. They’re campaigning about corruption and cuts etc. People have complained that they’re not offering solutions and are unfocused in what they’re campaigning for but either way, I think it’s cool that they’ve got off their butts and wanting another way. The Spanish government, with Franco’s fascist past still strong in the public consciousness, are leaving them be … for the time being.
